Blossom Copper Ring

Some pieces you forget you're wearing - until you catch them on your hand and smile. I made this ring for people whose hands have done a lifetime of work - the flowers are hand-detailed one petal at a time, the beaded border traced dot by dot along both edges, the whole surface worked slowly until the copper holds every mark of the making.

People have worn copper against their skin for thousands of years, and the ones who come back to me wearing this ring always say the same thing: it's the one they never take off.

This is one of the last rings I'll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope it finds the hand that needs it most.
